Karen died between Monday 13/08/07 to Thursday 16/08/07
She had been brutally murdered, her poor Mum of 75 found her body on 16/08/07.
The man has been charged with Karen's murder. We still don't know how she was killed as the police are still investigating.
Karen was a lovely person, and use to work at the hospital and care for other people she would always have a smile on her face and she wouldn't harm a soul.

You were such a warm hearted lady,you always looked out for others,you were like a mother to me when we worked together on ward 17 at the LGH,i've only heard about the your sudden departure today,and it saddens me to be sat here writing this...You always brought a smile to others,you had lovely big eyes,you were lovely,so kind,you will always be missed by many well wishers,sleep tight Karen,love salpal x

My thoughts, prayers and hugs go out to Karens Mum, sister Rachel, brother David, her family, friends, neighbours and all who knew her and keep her memory alive through this site, sharing happy memories of times gone by with Karen. I still cant believe what happened to her and it makes me so sad,its so unfair and should never have happened. This website says it all 'gone too soon'. I take comfort in the photos of her i placed on here, as i hope all you do too, as i know she was so happy during these times, always smiling, always laughing and living life to the full. This is how i remember her. Karen touched so many lives and gave so much to everyone. Her patients at the hospital loved her and she cared for them unconditionally. at least they have locked the person up for good who killed you, you didn't deserve what happened to you.as usual it takes something like this to happen before something is done.

We wanted to give you a big hug and wish you a Merry Christmas. We love you and miss you so very much.Hope you are with Dad and having a pint or two. I know you always liked to work Christmas time at the hospital and this made you very happy and I like to think of you there. Thanks to Karens friend Dingley for your kinds words they have been a real comfort to myself, Karens mum and the rest of the family.l am so sorry you didn't know about Karens funeral, but I had no way of contacting you, I didn't realise you lived out of the city. Thanks for the photos of Karen, this is how we will always remember Karen, happy and doing what she enjoyed the most. Sleep peacefully. Your loving sister xxx
